Early beta · Free to test
Terms of use
These terms cover the Budget Studio website, sample demo, installable web app, and native iOS beta. They are written plainly so you know what this early version can—and cannot—promise.
Last updated July 25, 2026
Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account or using Budget Studio, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or enter personal information. You can still view the public website.
Budget Studio is not directed to children under 13. If you are not legally able to agree to these terms on your own, use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
The beta service
Budget Studio provides manual tools for planning paychecks, recording transactions, setting category budgets, tracking goals, and optionally sharing a budget. The current beta is offered without charge.
The operator may add, remove, redesign, pause, or discontinue beta features as testing continues. Reasonable efforts will be made to avoid unnecessary data loss, but the beta does not promise permanent storage, uninterrupted access, or compatibility with every device.
Sample demo: the public demo is a temporary preview populated with fictional data. Changes reset when you leave or reload it, and demo entries are not synced to an account.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your password and devices, and activity performed through your account. Use a unique password and sign out of the web app on a device other people can access. Because the current iOS beta can retain a password sign-in in Apple Keychain for biometric re-entry, avoid using it on a shared device.
Notify the operator at mcl.labss@gmail.com if you believe an account has been accessed without permission. The operator may suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users, or maintain the service.
Your content and privacy
You keep ownership of the information you enter. You give Budget Studio and its service providers permission to host, process, copy, and transmit that information only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service.
Do not enter information you do not have permission to use or share. The Privacy Policy explains the current data flow, service providers, retention, and deletion options.
Acceptable use
You may not use Budget Studio to:
- Access, test, or interfere with another person’s account or data without permission.
- Attack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls.
- Run credential-stuffing, automated sign-up, spam, or other abusive activity.
- Upload unlawful content or use the service in violation of applicable law.
- Misrepresent Budget Studio as a bank, adviser, or guaranteed financial system.
Not financial advice
Budget Studio is an organization tool, not a bank, accounting service, credit service, fiduciary, or financial, tax, legal, or investment adviser. The app does not verify that entries, schedules, projections, or calculations match your real accounts. You are responsible for checking important numbers and for decisions you make using them.
Data and backups
Keep an independent copy of information you cannot afford to lose. CSV and JSON export are available in Settings. Sync, device storage, provider outages, conflicting shared edits, software bugs, or account misuse can cause information to be delayed, changed, or lost.
You can stop using Budget Studio at any time. Settings can remove the synced budget, and the Privacy Policy explains how to request deletion of the remaining authentication account.
Third-party services
Budget Studio depends on services such as Supabase, GitHub Pages, Google, jsDelivr, and Apple platform features. Their availability and rules are outside the operator’s control. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and do not make Budget Studio responsible for their content.
Budget Studio materials
The Budget Studio name, logo, interface, and original software and content are owned by the operator or used under their applicable licenses. These terms do not transfer those rights to you. You may use the service for its intended personal budgeting purpose while the beta is available.
Disclaimers and limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Budget Studio is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be accurate, secure, uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for lost data, missed payments, inaccurate projections, provider outages, or decisions made using the app. Nothing in these terms limits a right or liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
Changes, suspension, and ending use
These terms may change as the beta develops. The “Last updated” date will show when. Material changes will be presented in the app or on the website when practical. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms going forward.
The operator may suspend or end access for abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the beta. You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion as explained in the Privacy Policy.
